Integrity is probably the finest characteristic we can strive for, which then brings us to "grace." An almost undefinable expression. But you know it when you see it. Open, direct, honest, vulnerable.

Grace cannot exist without integrity.

This is good. I've never seen anyone present it as archetypes.

Curious:

"Integrity" sounds boring. Do you happen to have a way to describe it or speak it in a way that a random wanderer feels intrigued, attention is captured, and they want to learn more?

That’s a thought-provoking comment. As I often point out, I am not a good writer: https://sotiris.substack.com/p/i-am-not-a-good-writer

I’ll think about it given the directions you laid out, to inspire and incentivise the writer to desire to be integral…

I don't think you need to be a great writer for this. Simply a writer is fine. I'm pointing this out more from a place of seeing what we/humans respond to and what we bypass. And if a goal is to inspire change, make people pause and reflect on something that they don't even know is a problem, something must get their attention + then there's the part about how effectively a message passes into people to hit the right spot and spark insight. Many ways to do it - and in many ways it's outside of our hands - but I find that words are powerful in that sense. And I could keep going on and on but I'll leave it at that so your brain and flow doesn't feel too restrained : )

'Better to be a warrior in the garden...'

Real 'alphas' don't need to advertise.

Exactly. Neediness is not an ‘alpha’ trait

I’d just call it ‘good character’ - but yes, integrity, is what counts, and the one thing a woman must insist on in a man.

True. Women need to appreciate this trait more, otherwise they make bad choices in men, and then create bad offspring, and on and on the cycle of abuse spins

When they came up with the idea of the alpha male in watching wolves they were mistaken.

It was not always the same wolf that took charge. It depended on the task.

Some were better at finding shelter, others at finding water, and so on.

Only fools accept the idea of an absolute alpha, even if they aren't one. No wonder why we put our trust in idiotic authorities.

Technically you are right.

Technically ok?

But what's not right?

I like your point about Frodo. He didn't need to be alpha but to be able to not identify so that he could absorb the warrior, sage, etc when needed.

"God grant me the power to do ..... "

Except it's a result of our own awareness and flexibility!

The term “alpha” is more nuanced now that just wolf pack dynamics. Take what you will from the article.
