Perfectly describes my life. Each time I took a wrong turn, sometimes years later, something shows me what life would have looked like if I had kept on the "path."
I'm afraid to get on another path now so I'm just sitting around.
Unfortunately, when we accumulate failure, we become reluctant to act. With good reason. But what would your innocent inner self do, without the emotional baggage and trauma that pushed it back and allowed the corrupt false self to take over? Remember, the false self loves comfort and low standards, because any challenge threatens its fragile existence. Just be in line with your true, innocent, pure self, and I believe you’ll know what to do and what not to.
Thank you for your words. I'm glad this has resonated with you. It appears to be a common experience. Yes, it took a lot of pain to writ this. And it takes pain to learn, but the question remains… if it's to learn late, was the pain worth it? Regardless, I'm glad you've found your true self.

👏👏👏
Extremely beautiful. Every time I paused to stop - your next line hooked me in. Thank you.
Thank you, Oscar. If you know anyone who could benefit from this, kindly share. I write for us.
“You are graced with the freedom to finally be you only when it doesn’t matter …”
What a perfect realization.
Sadly... I wish it weren't so. But it is.
Probably the most raw and powerful thing I’ve read for a while.
Thankyou for sharing
( I understand the song choices too)
💙
Thank you, Trudi. I’m glad this resonated with you, but also sad knowing that, for it to resonate with you, it would mean that you’ve suffered.
It has and for many reasons .
The song choices struck another chord for me.
My son Benjamin was a huge LP fan and like Chester, my son tragically took his own life during lockdown in 2020.
Benjamin was 25 years old 💔
Oh, no. I am so sorry to hear that. Can you share with us a nice story from your son’s life, to honour him?
When my head’s in the right place, I will 👍
Truly I’m sorry for your loss. Can’t even begin to imagine how hard that must be. Nobody deserves that kind of pain
💙
WOW!💥
What an amazing article, TRULY!
I don’t think I’ve ever read an article that describes my life experience as this article you painstakingly wrote.
For me, God has been my Hightower (not organized religion).
I’m 61, and I’m connecting with my “true self” now.
You are an amazing, inspirational writer. Your words have helped me, and I thank you.
Remember, you couldn’t have done this without the pain, unfortunately.
Thank you beyond words! Thank you for Light!🌞

I will be reading your article again, perhaps a few times, and saving it for reference.
Thank you for your honesty(is there anything else?), and candor.
Believe it or not, it is a very loving gesture.
God/Creator and His Light be with you (it is).
Thank you
