In regards to purpose, there is the spiritual notion that we are all part of a greater single consciousness that has splintered into many individual aspects in order to observe itself. If that were the case, our purpose here would, in fact, be ours. Having lost awareness of our connection to that greater consciousness, we experience the illusion that our purpose here is for the "other", but we ARE the other. In the words of Joseph Campbell "Thou art that". 🤔
Simulation of evolution perhaps, always thriving and learning. Not bound to any One of many manufactured ideologies could be a factor.
You touched on a significant point that maybe laws are simply a means of restricted freedoms.
The issue is how people agree to oppression in the name of safety from ourselves. Whenever the laws deprived humanity's Basic Needs for natural survival. Additionally asking for a UBI or Acceptance of it is currently the mistake to bargain with.
You have the ability to stick a gun to your head and blow your brains out. You could also put the gun down and mow your neighbor's lawn for free. You could work all day and have 2 jobs or you could not work and be homeless. You could marry a fat chick that can cook or you could type substacks that don't really do anything. Sounds like it's not a simulation. Sounds like we can say anything we want because of the internet. Could you imagine if you wrote this article on a piece of paper and someone found it in 1000 years? They would say "I like the one about " cooking fat chick" more."
Possible. But there is no way in knowing this. Plus, if we are denied knowledge of what tf we are supposed to be doing here, then probably your notion of an eternity is false. It would have helped if we knew. The fact that we don’t means there is no meaning for us
