I am sorry for your trauma from schooling. You didn't deserve it. The most traumatised I think a the ones who can't even acknowledge their trauma. So you are healthier because you can at least see your prison for what it is.
Excellent piece!! I once heard we do “pick out parents” & that really has stuck with me metaphorically speaking. I tend to believe it, my folks are amazing & so are my beautiful daughters 💕 my 15 yo is life schooled she far exceeds her peers in real world expertise. My 17 yo was life schooled but wanted to finish out senior year public institutionalized again, I allowed it I raised them independent, taught her to think not what to think hope it serves her well in life.
Hey man, I’m glad you realize it, otherwise it would mean that you have internalized the trauma and psychopathy of schooling. Those who still make excuses for school also make excuses for their abusive relationships. They feel they deserve abuse. I’m glad you made the leap. It’s painful to realize it. But it’s worth it. Thank you
Good article. I also recently realized how damaged i was from school.

Always good to hear about examples of good parenting. Good parenting improves the world for all of us.
Well written and painfully accurate. It took me years to understand and start to overcome the damage school had done to my vigour.
